호주 영어와 미국 영어에는 다른것들이 조금 있다 ..
물론 요즘엔 인터넷과 방송 덕분에 두가지 다 통용되고 있다 .
Doctor(after D) : What seems to be the problem, Mrs Smith?
Mrs. Smith(after S) : Well actuallu, it's my son. He's been off colour since yesterday. At first I thought he was putting it on beacuse he didn't want to go school but then he started throwing up and he's had the runs as well.
He's picked up a lot today, but he still seems to be a bit washed out.
D: Mm.... He's probably got the bug. that's going around pop him on the table and I'll give him a check up. Has he complained about sore tummy?
S: He did yesterday - not so much today.
D: Mm... Just keep an eye on him. I'll give you a prescription for some medicine but I think he's on the mend. Is there anything else?
S: Yes. Could you take a look at me while I'm here. I think I'm come down with something. Usually I'm as fit as fiddle but the last couple of days I've been feeling really crook.
D: Mm. It could be the same bug. Any other symptoms?
S: Yes. I feel really washed out and I've had a splitting headache.
D: And when did these symptoms come on?
S: About five days age... but I.ve been having bad headaches for a while now.
D: Mm. Have you been over doing it lately? Are you worrying about something?
S: I suppose I am a worrywart and I've been pretty up tight lately about work at the office.
D: Well first of all, I think you need a few days off work to take it easy. If the problem doesn't clear up in a few days we'll run some test and see what we come up with.
S: Ok. Thank you Doctor ...
