Hello?
Hello. I’m calling about the ad in this morning’s Herald for share accommodation.
Uh. Huh…
And, I was wondering if the room’s still available?
Yes, it is.
Oh. Good, would I be able to just ask you a few question about it?
Yep, sure. What would you like to know?
Well, could you tell me how much the rent is?
Um hmm… it’s 110.00 per week.
Umm. One hundred and ten… ok, and is there a bond?
Yes. That’s four week’s rent. So it’s 440.00
Right and does that include expenses?
That includes, electricity, water and gas, but phone calls are extra.
Sure, ok and when will the room be available?
It’s actually available right now. So we are looking for someone to move in as soon as possible.
Oh. I see and …. Could you tell me how many people are living there?
Yes, at the moment it’s just me and one other flatmate, so altogether, there would be three of us.
Ok and the room that’s available…. Is it good size.
Mmm.. it’s not really big, but it’s quite cozy. It’s partly furnished as well, with a double bed and a desk.
Oh. That’s sounds good. And so what do you do?
We’re both uni students.
Oh, right. Me too. What are you studying?
Benito’s studying political science.. he’s in second year, and I’m doing third year philosophy.
Really? I’m doing philosophy too.
Oh. Which year?
Anyway, it’s sounds like a nice place you’ve got… would I be able to come over and have a look?
Yeah. When’s good time for you?
Would this afternoon be right? Say 4:00.
4:00? Yep, I’ll definitely be home and I’m pretty sure Benito should be home from his rally by them…
Ok. Good. So could I get the address?
Uh. Huh. it’s 57 Wigram Rd. Glebe. It’s one of those big terrace places and we’ve got a blow-up camel hanging from balcony.
A blow-up camel?
Yeah, don’t ask….
Ok…. And so, by the way, my name is John.
Oh. Right and I’m Simone. So I guess I’ll see you at 4:00 John?
Yep, see you then.
Bye.
